The more things change - The more they stay the same. Four months on from the 2022 T2O World Cup debacle - West Indies have named an almost identical T20 side to the one that crash out of the World Cup in round one.
Machel Hewitt asks if the squad is the best squad we could have realistically selected or if more needs to be done to implement the suggestions in the independent report carried out by Justice Thompson.

My last video saw many people get in the comments below and question the importance of Nkrumah Bonner in the West Indies test side.
I'll admit I was taken aback. It had never occurred to me that some people actually doubted the worth of Bonner to the West Indies test side.
The concussions vs South Africa and Australia notwithstanding no one in the West Indies side has a better test average than Bonner yet some believe that the concussions weaken Bonner's hold on a place in the test side.

There I was minding my own business when Cricket West Indies put out a press release on Christmas Eve no less.
The 2023 West Indies Championship has been confirmed as a five round Championship with a brand new (best vs best) Headley-Weekes tri-series to follow.
There have predictably been some negative reaction to the announcement and there are undoubtedly some cons to the competition but there are pros that some may not have considered.
As ever there is also context that people need to consider when considering decisions made by Cricket West Indies.
